REDLAND YURARA ART SOCIETY INC
is a not–for–profit art organisation run exclusively by volunteers.

Established by a small group of artists in 1962, the Society is currently based in Thornlands, Redland City (about 40 kilometres South East of Brisbane Qld Australia).

The Group's purpose is to give encouragement to practicing artists and to stoke the fires of public interest in the Arts.

Plein Air Workshop with Corinne Colombo






The lovely Corinne Colombo is holding more
half day, weekend workshops at Yurara.

 Corinne will be focusing on plein air sketching & painting.

Helpful guidance in making subject choices,
working with limited materials,
hints and tips on work processes and
giving your work an individual style.

Saturday 16 & Sunday 17th June

Corinne is always happy to share what she has learned over many years, 
including years of study in art school and travels to many different countries. 
Corinne enjoys teaching.   
She is a prolific artist and has had numerous exhibitions in both Switzerland and Australia.   
Corinne is comfortable with all mediums but places particular emphasis on drawing.   
She claims that once an artist understands how this magical medium works, 
everything becomes easy…..’you just follow!’

Julie Shepherd - Porcelain Artist

Many will be familiar with local artist Julie Shepherd's work.
Julie is a Capalaba artist who is rightfully enjoying success and acclamation for her art.
Her delicate pierced porcelain work has been shown at Redland Art Gallery
on numerous occasions and always draws complements.
